You might be a redneck if....

This weekend I went to Kentucky to see my family. We went to a wedding shower yesterday afternoon. My mom and I did a little shopping yesterday morning. I got some rugs for my house and flowers to do a new arrangement on my front door. I also got some greenery and a container to hang in my bathroom. Fall is almost here and I am ready to change some stuff.

Last night, my mom, dad, sister and I went to Morganfield to eat at this really good place called Harv E's. This place is in an old 5 and Dime store. The ceiling is the orignial pressed tin tiles and there is an old gas log fireplace. The floors are the original hardwoods. The food was good and the atmosphere was really neat. The restaurant is located on main street in this little town. It was really cool.

Now I should preface the rest of my story with a little explanation. My parents live on Whitelick Rd. For some reason, kids and adults alike think that that is a funny name. Personally, I don't find it as amusing. For that reason, people have stolen the street sign for our road numerous times. Last night as we were leaving our house, we noticed that these people we know (who live at the end of our road) were having a birthday party. Well, apparently, the street sign had been stolen AGAIN. Apparently, they wanted to make sure that no one missed the turn to their house so they MADE A STREET SIGN OUT OF CARDBOARD. They didn't just put a sign out they made an actual street sign, same size and everything, and wrote Whitelick Rd. on it in black marker. Now maybe this isn't funny to you all but it is hysterical to me! And to top the whole thing off, they had tied a hubcap to the bottom of the sign. I wish I had a camera so I could have posted a picture. I love Kentucky!
