Abstract Art?

At first glance, you might think that this is a little bit of my creative side coming out. Suffice it to say, I am not that creative. On second glance, you might think that I injured myself. Wrong again. This is the result of a bottle of Sally Hansen Nail Polish (a brand new FULL bottle by the way) meeting the tile in my bathroom room. It was violent and ugly.

I got up Sunday morning early and went to Publix...my favorite grocery in the world. Another post, another time. So when I got back, I got a shower so Ben could get in the bathroom next. Ben was over by the shower getting ready to shave and I opened the closet door to get my hairdryer. Then, IT happened. The bottle was perched in the closet (I am not blaming anyone, BEN for putting it in there like that) and as I opened the door, the bottle hit the floor. At first it didn't even register with me what had happened until I saw bright pink nail polish all over the tile floor, the closet door, the dirty clothes in the bottom of the closet and then I see my foot. Covered in glass and polish. I start to panic and begin slinging stuff in the sink. This only succeeded in messing up the sink and giving me one more thing to clean. I am yelling at Ben and he doesn't have a clue what is going on. Then I start to cry. Profusely. I believe I have completely ruined our bathroom and now we are going to have to pay for a bathroom remodel. I am hysterical. We both grab towels and we are smearing fingernail polish everywhere. Finally, I realize that we are going to have to try fingernail polish remover. Believe it or not, we got almost every bit of it up. Then, I realize that it is on my feet and I have gotten in on the hardwoods in the hallway. The crying starts again. I think Ben was ready to slap me but he kept his cool. We get everything cleaned up except for me. I didn't have enough polish remover or time to get everything off of my feet. This is what my foot looked like at church. Quite amusing to many, I am sure. Let's just say, that it wasn't the peaceful Sunday morning. I had in mind!!!!!

P.S. I forgot to mention that we also had a small fire in our oven right before we left for church. Somehow, in all the other hub-bub that got left out!

It did make me laugh! I am glad that I am not the only one that has days like the one you had!

I know this wasn't funny, but it will probably be an event that will be stored in the "Do you remember the time..." file.
